Medication management combined with lifestyle modifications, genetic
testing, and advanced treatments — delivered via telehealth or at our office.
Meet your psychiatrist via secure video from anywhere in California, or visit our office — just 10 minutes from downtown Glendale via the 134. Same provider, same quality of care, your preferred format.
We assess sleep quality, nutrition, exercise habits, stress patterns, and substance use. Treatment may include medication, over-the-counter supplements, lifestyle modifications, Spravato, or TMS — based on what your specific presentation requires.
Pharmacogenomic testing analyzes how your body metabolizes specific medications. This identifies which drugs are likely to be effective, which may cause side effects, and which require dosing adjustments — reducing months of trial and error to a single test.
Our team includes providers who speak Armenian, Russian, Spanish, and Farsi. Psychiatric evaluation depends on nuanced communication — we ensure language is never a barrier to accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
Most psychiatry practices close at 5. We offer appointments through 8 PM, so working professionals, parents, and students can be seen without disrupting their day. No more choosing between work and your mental health.
For treatment-resistant depression and other conditions, we offer transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and Spravato (intranasal ketamine) at our office. Most psychiatry practices don’t have this capability.
We provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management for the following conditions. Each condition page includes detailed information about symptoms, treatment approaches, and what to expect.

Your first appointment is 60 minutes. No rushing, no clipboard checklists. It’s a structured clinical conversation with a board certified provider who wants to understand your full picture before recommending anything.
We know seeing a psychiatrist for the first time — or switching to a new one — can feel like a significant step. Many of our patients have had negative experiences elsewhere: 15-minute appointments, providers who didn’t listen, medications prescribed without explanation. We designed the first visit to be the opposite of that.
By the end of your first visit, you’ll have a working diagnosis, a clear understanding of your treatment options, and a personalized plan — including the clinical reasoning behind every recommendation.
"For the first time, a psychiatrist actually asked me what my goals were from treatment — not just what my symptoms were."

A 10-minute form about your history, symptoms, current medications, and goals. We review this before your appointment and verify your insurance so there are no billing surprises.
Your provider reviews your intake, asks detailed follow-up questions, and listens. This is a diagnostic evaluation — thorough, methodical, and collaborative.
What we cover: Full symptom history and onset patterns, medical and psychiatric history, prior medications (what worked, what didn’t, and why), family history, sleep architecture and lifestyle factors, substance use, and your personal treatment goals and concerns.
Your provider explains their diagnostic impression, walks through the recommended treatment approach, and answers your questions. If medication is appropriate, your prescription is sent to your Glendale pharmacy before the visit ends.
A 20–30 minute check-in to assess treatment response: Are symptoms improving? Any side effects? Sleep changes? We adjust dosing, add supportive interventions, or order genetic testing if initial response is suboptimal.
Ongoing care: Most patients stabilize within 2–3 follow-ups. After that, visits are monthly or as clinically indicated. You always have direct messaging access to your provider between visits for non-urgent questions.
Four types of care, each designed for a different stage of your treatment.

We see adolescents ages 11 and up, usually within the same week. Adolescent psychiatry requires a different approach — we work closely with both the teen and their parents, coordinate with school counselors and existing therapists, and build treatment plans that account for developmental stage and family dynamics.

For treatment-resistant depression, we offer TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation — targeted magnetic pulses to specific brain regions) and Spravato (FDA-approved intranasal esketamine). Both require supervised in-office visits at our location, 10 minutes from Glendale.

Scheduled every 2–4 weeks during initial treatment, then monthly once stable. Your provider assesses treatment response, checks for side effects, adjusts dosing, and sends prescriptions electronically the same day.

Reach your provider directly for non-urgent concerns — medication timing, side effects, pharmacy issues. Most messages receive a response within one business day. You don’t need to wait for your next appointment to ask a question.
Every treatment plan starts with an accurate diagnosis. We don’t prescribe
based on a 15-minute conversation.
The first step is understanding what brought you here. What is preventing you from functioning normally? We assess the specific ways your symptoms are affecting work, relationships, sleep, energy, and daily routines — because treatment should target functional improvement, not just symptom reduction.
An accurate diagnosis determines the entire treatment plan. We conduct a structured clinical interview, rule out overlapping conditions (anxiety vs. ADHD, bipolar vs. depression, PTSD vs. generalized anxiety), and arrive at the most precise diagnosis possible. Sometimes the answer is that there is no disorder — and that’s part of our job too.
We evaluate sleep patterns, diet, exercise, caffeine and alcohol intake, screen time, and stress management. These factors directly influence neurotransmitter function and medication efficacy. Addressing them often allows for lower medication doses, fewer side effects, and more durable improvement.
Based on your diagnosis, severity, and history, we recommend the most appropriate treatment. Options include medication, over-the-counter supplements, lifestyle modifications, Spravato (intranasal ketamine for treatment- resistant depression), or TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation). We explain why we’re recommending a specific approach and make decisions collaboratively.
Treatment doesn’t end with the first prescription. We schedule regular follow-ups to assess response, adjust dosing, and address emerging concerns. If a medication isn’t working as expected, we modify the approach — we don’t repeat it. We monitor until we see visible, measurable improvement in your daily functioning.
You don’t need a crisis to see a psychiatrist. Here’s who walks through our door.
Most medication failures aren’t treatment failures — they’re selection failures. The wrong drug was chosen for your specific biology. Pharmacogenomic testing identifies which medications your body actually metabolizes well, so we can make informed choices instead of educated guesses. Many of our patients have been through 2–3 medications before finding us.

Adolescent psychiatry requires a different approach — we work closely with both the teen and their parents, coordinate with school counselors and existing therapists, and build treatment plans that account for developmental stage and family dynamics.
High-functioning ADHD is one of the most underdiagnosed conditions in working adults. You’ve built systems to compensate — but the cognitive load is unsustainable. A proper evaluation can distinguish ADHD from anxiety, burnout, or sleep deprivation, and targeted treatment can reduce the effort required to do what you’re already doing.
Medication management and psychotherapy serve different clinical functions. For many patients, a well-chosen SSRI or SNRI — combined with targeted lifestyle changes — provides significant relief without weekly hour-long sessions. Our follow-up visits are 20–30 minutes via video and fit into a lunch break.
Start with the intake form. It takes about 10 minutes and asks straightforward questions about your symptoms, history, and goals. We review it before your first visit so your provider already has context. No diagnosis is required beforehand. No referral is needed. If you’re not sure whether psychiatry is the right fit, the evaluation itself will clarify that.
Structural decisions about how we run the practice — not marketing claims.
You are not rotated between providers. The psychiatrist who evaluates you manages your ongoing care. Continuity is a clinical requirement.
Industry standard is 15–20 minutes. A thorough diagnostic evaluation takes longer. We allocate 60 minutes because an accurate diagnosis requires it.
Questions between appointments don’t require a scheduled visit. Reach your provider through our secure portal. Most messages answered within one business day.
Routine follow-ups via video. In-person evaluations and advanced treatments at our office. Choose the format that fits each visit.
You will never leave an appointment without understanding what you’re taking, why it was chosen, what to expect, and what side effects to watch for.

TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) uses targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain. Spravato is an FDA-approved intranasal esketamine treatment. Both are used primarily for treatment-resistant depression and are administered at our Burbank office under medical supervision. Most psychiatrists don’t offer these services.
Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in diagnosing mental health conditions and prescribing medication. Therapists provide talk therapy. Many patients benefit from both, and we routinely coordinate with therapists. If you’re unsure which you need, the evaluation will clarify that.
This is common. It often means the wrong medication was chosen for your biology. We can order pharmacogenomic testing to identify which medications are most likely to be effective based on your genetics. We always start at the lowest effective dose, monitor closely, and adjust based on your response. For treatment-resistant cases, TMS and Spravato are additional options.
